I bought this humidifier five years ago and has performed every winter from December to March, almost 24 hours a day. I like this device because it moisturizes my bedroom well and is easy to be disinfected. I see people complain about how clean the device so often …. I can tell you if you use a humidifier for weeks without any disinfection are you going to spread germs. This is not hearsay, but from my university education in infectious diseases. You can not disinfecthumidifier others as you can with it.

I disinfect this humidifier Hunter once daily with hydrogen peroxide, and occasionally with vinegar. It takes ten minutes, and I do, but willing to go to bed …. a big problem. Vinegar is a weak disinfectant but to remove the scales. Are in the Midwest with hard water. The filter permawick lasted three years. The engine died shortly after with an estimated 3000 hours.

I think the reason why so many peopleburning engines, since they allow the unit to run dry or not leave the lower tank to fill completely before turning the car too high. Running the fan is running dry and possibly burn engine

Needless to say, I will make another purchase.
